Play Day!

This morning I went for a long walk. I got to roll in the snow. It felt so good! Here's a picture of me rolling in the snow.
I could do this all day. Then I saw my friend Dude. Here's a picture of me with Dude.

We don't really play together, but I like seeing him. Then I saw my friend Rothke. Rothke is my favorite friend. We play a lot. Here's a picture of me and Rothke playing.

He's stealing my stick. The other dog in the picture is Ariel. Ariel doesn't play. Period. Here's a picture of me chasing Rothke.

Here's another picture of me chasing Rothke.

Come back here with my stick! Here's a picture of me about to get my stick back.

Here are some pictures of me and Rothke wrestling.

Here's a picture of us boxing.

Here's another picture of us boxing.

It looks like we're dancing, but we're not. I'm biting his arm. I was really tired after playing with Rothke. I just wanted to lie in the snow and take a nap, but my human made me walk all the way home and climb stairs. I can barely move. I need pizza. Delivered.

Grandma's Memorial

On Saturday I went to Grandma's. There were lots of people there and lots and lots of food. I hardly got any! Some kids spent a lot of time petting me and rubbing my belly. I liked them. Here's a picture of me with Sidney.

She wanted to take me home with her. Do you have sausages there? I'll go if you have sausages. Or bacon. Sidney gave me some cheese doodles. Mmmmmm! Cheese doodles! Here's a picture of me with Ann.

See the table full of food behind us? It was too high for me to reach. Hmph! I liked Ann a lot. She gave me food – real food, not just dog treats. My human yelled at her. My human is stupid. I'm a big dog and they don't feed me enough. They even took me to the vet on the way to Grandma's to weigh me. Huh??!! I'm underweight! I'm supposed to be big. My humans gave me some treats after everyone else left. Finally! It was sooooo good! I got cheese and roast beef and bread and salmon and mmmmmmmmm!!!! It still wasn't enough. When I got home I was exhausted. Begging is hard work.

Then on Sunday it was snowing! I went out and rolled in the snow a lot. Then we saw my friend Rothke. I got to chase him and play for a long time in the park. We played with a ball and a stick. I like the stick best. Last night I was too tired to go out. Maybe I'll go to Parkview and see Joe today. I haven't been there in months.

Knuckles Goes Home

On Friday we went for another long walk. Me and Knuckles. Here's a picture of us walking in the park with my human.

See how he's trying to walk ahead of me? Humph! He did stuff like that all the time. He'd push in front of me when I was getting petted and try to race me to the kitchen for dinner. And if I stood behind him, he'd hit me in the face with his tail. SO annoying! We walked to Starbuck's. Here's a picture of us outside of Starbuck's.

It's one of the worst pictures ever. Here's a picture of us greeting my human when he came out of Starbuck's.

It's only slightly better. Whipped cream, please! I didn't get any. I think it was because of Knuckles. Then we walked home. I didn't want to go home. I wanted to go to Parkview Pet Supplies and see Joe. Here's a picture of me refusing to walk home.

No! I want to see Joe! I wasn't allowed. I think it was because of Knuckles. When we were at a stoplight an ambulance drove by. It was really loud. But not as loud as Knuckles! Hey! What the hell??!! Why are you howling at the ambulance? I don't get it. Knuckles likes to make noise. We have a noisy new neighbor dog who barks at everything. Every time he barked, Knuckles would growl and woof. Hey! Knucklehead! Cut it out. I growled at him once and he shut up, but he did the same thing next time, so I gave up.

When we got home I was really tired. So was Knuckles. We fell asleep right inside the door. Here's a picture of us in the foyer.

See how tired he is? When it was time for our late walk I refused to go. I'm tired of all these long walks! I'll just stay here and lick the salad bowl. Here's a picture of me licking the salad bowl right before it was taken away from me.
Then they left to walk Knuckles. I don't care. Don't wake me up when you get home.

On Saturday it was more of the same. Walk, sleep, walk, sleep, walk. But after our late walk my humans took Knuckles' dog bed out of the living room. Huh? They packed up his food bowls and all his food. Um…you can leave the food. They didn't. Then they left with Knuckles and all his stuff. They took him home…or so I'm told. It was really quiet all last night. And this morning we all slept extra late. Then I went on my morning walk – just me! It felt so good not to be rushing everywhere! I went in the park and laid down for the whole walk. Then we came home. I think I'll just sleep the rest of the day. Wake me up for dinner, please!
It was kind of fun having Knuckles here. Maybe I'll see him in the park sometime. I'd like that.

The Visitor

On Monday we took the Christmas tree out. Here's a picture of me in the park with my human dragging the tree.

I don't get it. Why bring it in and dress it up if you're just going to take it out again? We took it to a big pile of more trees. Here's a picture of me by the big pile of trees.

It was really big.

On Tuesday I went for a long walk in the morning in the SNOW! Then we walked to Chase Bank where I got TWO milkbones! Mmmmmmilkbones! Here's a picture of me at the bank.

It's a really bad picture. It's blurry and I could be anywhere. Sigh.

Then we walked to Parkview to see Joe and I got lamb puffs! Mmmmmmmmm! Lamb puffs!! When we got home my new friend Knuckles was outside our building. His human had a bunch of stuff with her and she gave it to my humans. Then she left. Um….Hey, lady! You forgot your dog!! Apparently that was the plan all along. My humans took all the stuff and Knuckles upstairs with us. Um…How's this going to work? My house, right? My rules, right?

Before long we went for a walk, me AND Knuckles. Here's a picture of me and Knuckles walking.

It's from behind. Hey! Slow down! Knuckles likes to run and jump. I like to walk and lie down. Hmph! My walk, my rules. Here's a picture of me lying down on our walk and Knuckles standing nearby.

Whatever.

Knuckles likes to hang out with me in the living room. That's okay as long as he doesn't try to get on my couch. Here's a picture of us in the living room.

His bed is in the background. He brought his own bed! This is just for a few days, right?

Today I got woken up at 6:30 AM!!!! To walk Knuckles. I went with because I'm not letting my human walk him without me. Then we went out again at 8:30am. What!? Two walks already??!! HMPH! Then I got to go for a car ride – no Knuckles!! My human took me to a school for a Safe Humane Chicago presentation and I got to meet lots of kids and get petted for hours! Then we went to my Grandma's house and I got to lie on the couch while my human did stuff. Just me! AND we went to PetSmart. I didn't get anything, but I got to smell lots of good stuff. I give PetSmart 2 Paws. I would have given them 3 Paws if the cashier had given me treats.
After that we went home. I said hi to Knuckles and then I pushed my way into the room with my Grandma's cats – JUST ME. I'm exhausted now. Wake me at dinner time.

Another nice day!

Today was twenty degrees and sunny - a perfect day to go to the beach! Here's a picture of me at the beach.

Hello? Dog with a stick here!

My human threw the stick and I got to chase it and run around. Here's a picture of me running with my stick.

It's blurry because I'm running.

Here's another picture of me with my stick.

It was really big.

Here's a picture of me chewing on my stick.

It didn't taste that good.

All that running around made me thirsty so I ate some snow. Mmmmmmm! So cold! Here's a picture my human took of me eating snow.

I don't know why. It felt gritty on my tongue. And I got snow on my nose. Huh?

That's why tongues are so long; to get the snow off your nose.

See? Did I get it?

Then we walked over by the water. Here's a picture of me by the water.

My eyes are closed because I'm savoring the experience. Oh boy! It's just like Norway! I bet if we wait we can see the herring boats coming in. Mmmmmm! Herring! I'll just stay here for awhile.

I didn't want to go inside. But I was forced to. I'm exhausted.
Wake me up when the herring gets here.
