Doing Stuff With Roethke

The past month Roethke has gone to agility with me. We carpool. I don't get that. I see a car, but I don't see any pool. My human takes pictures of us in the car. Not in the pool. Again, no pool.

We also went to Home Depot together. It was kind of boring. There was a hot dog stand. I could smell it, but I didn't get any hot dogs. Sigh.

Happy 2015!

I don't know how it got to be 2015 already. One minute I was having fun at a cabin in Michigan and the next thing I know my human is dragging a dead tree out of the house!

In October I went to My Sweet Adeline's cabin in Michigan with my friend, Knuckles. Our humans came too. I got to run around off leash and go in the lake and woods. I even got to chase a raccoon! Then I was on leash again. But I can't chase the raccoon when I'm on leash - take it off! My human didn't take it off. Here are some pictures from my cabin trip.

You say Restoration Hardware, I say Pottery Barn

A few weeks ago (yes, my human is so slow), we went to Pottery Barn. My human went to pick up some candles she put on hold. I went to get pets and treats. Here's a picture of me in Pottery Barn.

It's blurry and I didn't get any treats. And my human didn't put anything on hold at Pottery Barn. She meant Restoration Hardware. She didn't figure that out until we were halfway home, so I didn't get to go to Restoration Hardware. I bet they would have had treats. Sigh. I give Pottery Barn 2 Paws because they gave good pets, but they had all wood floors and no treats. Seriously, treats are very important.

Walking the Cat(DOG)walk for Safe Humane Chicago

So life is good. Summer was…less hot. I've been doing a lot of this.

And some of this.

My human is building a catio. Um. I'll still be able to go in the yard, right? Good. Here's a picture of me on the catio. It's not done yet.

Last week I walked the catwalk at Bloomingdale's in the Doggies & Denim Fashion Show to benefit Safe Humane Chicago. Wouldn't that be a dogwalk? Yeah, just try walking a cat thru Bloomingdale's. Here's a picture of me waiting for my turn on the DOGwalk.

My human made me pose there. I don't see why. She says it's "descriptive."

I got lots of treats and 2 Sprinkles' cupcakes. My human spent most of the time being annoyed. Not me! Did I mention the 2 cupcakes!?! Mmmmmmmmmm!!! I give Bloomingdale's 4 Paws! They always have cupcakes, right?

New, new, and …..RABBIT!!

My blog did not move, but I did! Here is a picture of me at my new house.

I'm in the backyard. MY yard. Mine. Mine. MINE! And it has lots of RABBITS! Big, fat, juicy rabbits! And little, warm, crunchy baby rrrrrabbits! So far I've caught one baby rabbit. And a squirrel. I could have caught more, but my human gets in the way. A lot. I also like to chase robins. I don't really care about other birds, but robins sounds like rabbits, so there.

My human didn't like my new spot. She blocked it off with a bunch boards. But I was nice and cool there! Hmph!

This is exhausting. I just want to lie in the yard. All day. Every day. Please??

Best. Winter. Ever!

It's been so long since I wrote on my blog - time flies when there's a Polar Vortex! I never heard of a Polar Vortex before, but can we have one every year? Please?????

So much snow!!! I'm heading to where the rabbits live! I almost caught one. Again. Then I got put on leash and taken out of the yard. Huh? It's my yard, right? My human says no running the rabbits out until it's warm and they can find someplace safe to go. Um…I wasn't planning to run them out. Just eat them! MMMMMMMM!!!! Rabbits!!

This has been such a good winter. But my best friend, Roethke moved away and I really, really miss him. Here's a picture of us from last year when he came home for a visit.

The rest of the winter has been pretty much the same. Snow and cold, cold and snow! I got to take lots of snow naps while my human shoveled.

Can it be like this all year?

Dog shaming. Not a fan. Next time I'd like some ham with my loaf of bread. And some cheese too. Yeah, lots of ham and cheese.

The Nose Knows!

Last year I was taking nose work classes - or as I call them, nose FUN classes - with Emily Stoddard of Canine Sports. Then my human stopped taking me. I don't know why. But now I'm taking them again!

My human wasn't sure I would remember how to find birch. Do I get cheese if I find it? Then of course I remember!! Here's a video of me doing my nose work with the birch scent.
