Ladd Arboretum

Today I went for a car ride to Ladd Arboretum! It was nice and cool out and we went for a long walk. There were a bunch of children who wanted to pet me. I like children. There were lots of new smells too. I smelled furry woodland creatures and I wanted to follow their trail and catch them, but I wasn't allowed. My human took lots of pictures. At first I wouldn't look at her, but then I gave in. Here's a picture of me on a path refusing to look at the camera.

I didn't like all the picture taking and that I couldn't be off leash and hunt squirrels and rabbits, so I give Ladd Arboretum 2 Paws. My humans said they'll take me back in the winter. I think I'll like it better if there's snow. I can't wait for winter. It's soon, right? I was really tired when we got back to the car. But when I got home I didn't want to go upstairs. I wanted to stay on the deck. I lay down on the deck and even rolled over, but my human made me go upstairs anyway. I think I should get a Polar Pup for posing for pictures. But all I got was one peanut butter pretzel. Mmmmmm! Peanut butter pretzels!

Furry Friends Summerfest. Again.

Today I went to Furry Friends Summerfest again. I got more treats this time. I got treats from a little boy and I got treats from the Bark Bark Club. I like the Bark Bark Club. They gave me lots of pets and treats. Their treats were buffalo jerky. Mmmmmm! Then I got a chicken broth snow cone. It was okay, but it made me thirsty and I don't drink out of community water bowls, so I had to just be thirsty while my human spent way too long talking. I met a dog named Maggie that my human said was special. I don't think she was that special, but I was nice to her. She was nervous. Here's a picture of me and Maggie. It's blurry.

More pet store!

Yesterday I went for a long walk and got to the pet store at 7:05. They closed at 7:00. I don't like that. If I had a pet store it would always be open. But today I walked over to the pet store and it was open. I went right in and sat in front of the counter for my treats. Mmmmmmm! Cheese doodles!! Here's a picture of me getting treats from Joe at the counter.

If you look closely you can see the cheese doodle in the air. See it? Mmmmmm! My human says that she is going to take me someplace special this week. I hope they have cheese doodles there. I think they will.

George's

This afternoon I went for a walk to Andersonville and we stopped at George's for ice cream. I didn't actually get any ice cream, but my one human snuck me some whipped cream and it was good. I wanted to go inside and try some ice cream samples, but I wasn't allowed. So I only give George's 2 Paws.

When we got home I was really hot and tired. But after dinner I got bacon bits smothered in peanut butter - MMMMMMM!!!!!!!! I give peanut butter bacon bits 4 PAWS!

I hope this heat wave ends soon so I can go more places. Or maybe I can go to some places with air conditioning. I like air conditioning. Sigh.

Soggy Paws

Today I stayed in all morning after my walk and then in the afternoon I went for a car ride! I was really excited. We went to Soggy Paws. I'm still nervous about the floors, but not as bad as before. I thought I was going to get a treat and then my human walked me to a back room and left me there! I don't like that. I got groomed. The man was nice, but I would rather not be groomed. He brushed out all my fur and gave me a bath. He did some other things I'd rather not talk about. I was there for a LONG time! I was really happy when my human came to pick me up. And then I got a Polar Pup! It was the best part of the day. And at least nobody tried to take my picture.

I tried to stay inside tonight because of the heat, but my human tricked me into going out by throwing treats down the stairs. But I'm not going out in the morning no matter what. I've decided.

Pet store!

Oh my god!! Today was such a good day! First I got up really early and woke my human up. I don't usually do that, but today I did! We went for a quick walk and it was cool outside!!

After breakfast I took a nap because I got up too early. Then we went for a walk and I headed straight to the pet store! I was so excited I ran all the way there. My humans could hardly keep up. I LOVE the pet store! It is my favorite place in the whole world! It's carpeted so I don't slip on the floors and it smells soooooo good! And I get treats from Joe. I love Joe! I get so excited at the pet store that I can't wait to go in. As soon as the door opens I run inside and sit in front of the counter for my treats. I give Parkview Pet Supplies 4 PAWS!! I would like to stay at the pet store and not leave. But then we went to Starbuck's and I had a glass of water. I was thirsty from the treats. And then we went to the beach. The water felt so good and I ran a lot. I didn't have any sticks to chase. I tried to take a ball from a pug, but my human said I couldn't have it. If you don't want me to take toys from other dogs, then you should bring me my own toys! The pug kept following me around and complaining, but I ignored him. I got to lie in the water. I was all wet except for the top of my head.

Later I slept a lot. I ran almost everywhere today, so I was really tired. Tonight my human tried to take me outside again, but I wouldn't go. I was too tired. I'll go out tomorrow. G'night.

Stormy Wednesday

Today it was really hot again. And it was raining. My human didn't even try to walk me at 7:30 which was fine with me. We waited until almost 11 when it had almost stopped raining but was still cloudy out. I walked down to the park and stood under a tree and smelled things. I could smell a barbeque and lots of damp squirrels. Damp squirrels smell sooooooo goooood. Then we came back inside and I slept. Hot weather makes me tired.

Later my human made cat food and I got some raw beef liver. At first I didn't like the way it felt on my tongue and I spit it out on the floor, but then I tasted it and it was gooood, so I ate it and went in the kitchen for more. I still don't like the way it feels on my tongue.

This evening my human raced me outside just as it started to rain. I went halfway down the block and peed and then came back home. There was lightening and I could hear the thunder. I'm not scared of thunderstorms, I'm just smart enough not to go out in one.

Before bed I had a homemade frozen dogurt pop – mmmmmmmm, peanut butter and yogurt! It was salty and tangy and gooooood! I ate the whole thing!
