Last Wednesday after my photo shoot I went home and took a nap. I thought we were done with adventures for the day, but then my human took me to Fulton Market for Waggin' Wednesday. Oh boy! FOOD TRUCKS! You know the great thing about food trucks? The FOOD!!! First I went to the Starfruit Cafe truck and I got a sample of frozen raspberry kefir. I don't even know what kefir is, but it was really good! More please! I didn't get any more. Next we went to the Taquero Fusion truck. Here's a picture of me placing my order.
I asked for a sampler. That's one of everything, right? I didn't get it. My human got a Flame Asada taco. MMMMMMMMM! I didn't get any. Huh? She said it was for later. Humph! Then we went to the 5411 Empanadas truck. My human gave me a bite of her BBQ Chicken Empanada. MMMMMMMMMMM! So good! More please! I didn't get any more. What the hell? Next stop was the Tamale Spaceship truck. My human got two pork tamales. Oh boy! PORK! I love pork! I didn't get any. I was starting to think Waggin' Wednesday was a big bust. And then I saw the Fido To Go truck - a whole truck with food JUST FOR DOGS! Here's a picture of me placing my order at the Fido To Go truck.
I asked for a sampler. Think I got one? No, I didn't. But I did get a Peanut Butter Banana Bacon frozen yogurt!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMore please! Here's a picture of me eating my frozen yogurt.
It was really good and really frozen! At some point we met up with Scruffy and Yvette and Frank. I don't remember when because I was busy looking at the food trucks, but Scruffy got a frozen yogurt too. Here's a picture of Frank giving Scruffy his frozen yogurt.
He licked it for the longest time! Mine was gone in about a minute. I would have eaten it faster, but did I mention it was really frozen? I also saw Cari from the Puppy Mill Project. I haven't gone to any pet store protests in awhile since it's been so hot out, but she came over to say hi to me. Knuckles showed up too. He stayed at my house for a whole week last year. Here's a picture of me saying hi to Knuckles.
You can almost see Scruffy behind us. Knuckles' human had something called a ribeye slider. It smelled sooooo good! I want one of those! We went over to The Slide Ride truck. Think I got a sampler this time? NO! Sigh. And my human didn't even get the ribeye slider - she got chicken pesto. And I had to wait until she was almost done with it before I got any. But still....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! Before we left, we went back to the Fido To Go truck. A guy was standing there with a treat. Hey! He said my name! I sat down right in front of him and some little black dog tried to get between us. Hey! Butt out, smallfry - he said Grizzly! What?! That little black thing is called Grizzly too? Seriously?? You guys don't get the Nature channel, do you? He was nice and gave me some of the treat. Mmmmmmm! I ordered another Peanut Butter Banana Bacon frozen yogurt. Here's a picture of me waiting for my yogurt.
See what the truck says? Yeah, YUM! I wanted to eat it right then, but I wasn't allowed. When they were leaving, Yvette and Frank asked if we were coming back next week. Yes, please!!!!! I give Waggin' Wednesday 3 Paws!!!

My Photo Shoot
Last Wednesday I went to Welles Park. I thought I was going to run around but instead I just got my picture taken - a lot. Here's a picture of me in Welles Park. My human took it.
Here's another picture of me in Welles Park.
Lila M. Stromer took it. See the difference? Lila is a real photographer. She took my portrait at Pawz for Japan. Here's my portrait from Pawz for Japan.
Stunning, I know. Here's another picture she took of me in the park.
Here's a picture my human took of me in the park with Lila.
I'm not even looking at the camera. And does my fur look pink? Sigh. Here's a picture Lila took of me and my human.
SO much better. Here's a picture of me jumping in the park.
It's an action shot, but it's not blurry. Know why? Lila took it! My human says Lila has a better camera. Can you say denial? I can't, but I know what it means. I was getting annoyed on the grass because of all the flies. Seriously - they were all over me. Two landed on my ear at once. That's it! I'm out of here! We went over by the gazebo. There were less flies there. Here's a picture my human took of me in the gazebo.
No comment. A little boy came over and petted me. Here's a picture Lila took of me with the little boy.
He's smushing my ear. Here's another one.
He tried to take me home with him but my human said no. Here's a picture of him hugging me goodbye.
Yeah, I know...my human took it. We walked around some more and I saw some kids eating in the park. I wanted to go over but I wasn't allowed. I don't see why not. I'm pretty sure they would have given me some food. I met a little dog named Frances. She was really little. She had to stand up on her hind legs just to say hi to me. Here's a picture Lila took of Frances saying hi to me.
See how little she is? Here's another picture Lila took of us together.
Are we done here? I am. I headed back to the car. Here's a picture Lila took of me in the car.
Trust me, it's not just the camera. I had fun with Lila, but I only give Welles Park 1 Paw because of all the flies.

Broiling...not the good kind.
Last week was broiling hot. On Tuesday I went with my human to the Do Zoo. That's where she goes to get groomed. It sounds like something else involving wild animals and, um...but, nevermind, it isn't. Anyway, here's a picture of me at The Do Zoo Hair Parlor.
You can see another dog in the background. He was really jealous and barked whenever I got attention. Whatever. The people there were really nice and I got a milkbone. Mmmmmilkbones!
After my human was done being groomed we went to Oz Park. I thought it was going to be a bust, but guess what was right across the street - Dairy Queen! MMMMMMMMM! Soft serve ice cream!! Here's a picture of me enjoying my ice cream. More please! I didn't get any more.
The next day we went for a walk in Lincoln Park...or maybe it was later...it's hard to remember since it was so hot my brain fried. Here's a picture of me by some statue in Lincoln Park. Hans who? Can we go home now? We didn't. We walked around the pond instead. Why? I don't know. Apparently my human wanted me to see some cows. Are they turning on a spit? Sizzling on a hot grill? Then I'm really not interested. It was horrible. The wooden walkway isn't wood...it's some crap that burned my paws! Do I sound mad? I was. It really hurt! Here's a picture of me on the not-wood walkway that's searing the bottom of my paws off. TAKE ME HOME! Or to get ice cream, either one. We went home. Hey! I really wanted ice cream!
One day we went to the park by Belmont Harbor. My human walked me past the dog beach there, but she said it smelled bad so she didn't take me in. Instead she took this picture of me by some stupid pole. Sigh. Summer in Chicago sucks. I heard it snowed in Washington. I really think I should get some more ice cream for this.

Uncommon GOOD!
Last week I went to Uncommon Ground on Devon for lunch with my humans. Here's a picture of me in the outside cafe at Uncommon Ground.
It was nice and shady. There was plenty of room for me to move around and lie down. There was another table with people at it, but I wasn't allowed to go over. I bet they would have fed me if I'd been allowed. Finally we got our own food. Here's a picture of me patiently waiting for some sweet potato fries.
Mmmmmmmmm! Fries!!! Seriously, how can you say no to this face?
French fry, please! Here's a picture of me eating a sweet potato french fry.
Hey - why don't I get my own sweet potato fries? And a farm burger. And a BLT - I know it has bacon on it! It did. I didn't get one, but my human gave me some of his bacon. MMMMMMMM! Bacon!! And my other human let me lick the chili bowl. Here's a picture of me licking the chili bowl.
It was vegetarian chili, but it was still good. Know what would have made it better? Some meat! Mmmmmm! I give Uncommon Ground 3 Paws!
